Dr. & Mrs. HortonIn 1952, founder and president of Pensacola Christian Academy, Arlin Horton, and his wife Beka came to Pensacola to start a Christian school. God blessed their labors in Christian education beyond their dreams. Their continuing goal has been to give each student a truly Christian foundation, character training, and excellence in academics. |

1965A new elementary building (24 classrooms) was constructed near the high school. Total enrollment that year reached 1,300 students. Several classrooms were later added. |

1954Arlin and Beka Horton started Christian Grade School in a new 3-classroom building at 1000 W. Avery Street with 35 students (K–2). God blessed that small endeavor. |

1969High school building added a new entrance, library, locker rooms, and classrooms. |

1960Several additions to the original structure provided more classrooms and grades at the Avery location until no room remained to expand further. |

1972A kindergarten building (25 classrooms) was constructed on Fuhrman Drive. In the early 1980’s this building was used for PCC classrooms. |

1963A high school building on St. John St. was purchased from the defunct Brent Christian School, allowing for grades 10–12 to be added. Enrollment 760. |

1994Name was changed to Pensacola Christian Academy when K–12 moved into present building November 21. |
